It was a dreary overcast start to Sunday as we drove to Fairfax Reserve to take on the Camden Blues. Luckily the drizzle had cleared by the time the game started.

The boys started slowly, and although we had a two-goal lead at quarter time thanks to Julian, they just weren't marking the ball. If only . . .

More fumbling in the second quarter let Camden capitalise on our mistakes, and at the half-time break we were seven points down. It was Game On!!!

If our goal-kicking had been more accurate in the third quarter the score line would have been very different. The boys seemed to be pulling it together, showing some great skills, but just not finishing it off where it counted.

We were pulled up today for a higher 'holding the ball' penalty count than usual. Boys, you must remember to dispose of the ball instead of holding onto it.

We went into the third quarter with a 10-point lead. It was a great quarter despite the five behinds we kicked. Robbie and Max M kicked our two goals for the quarter.

The boys were very positive going into the last quarter, and we showed Camden up in fitness. They just couldn't run with our quicker boys.
Blake made good ground from defence along the wing a few times, Robbie showed great athleticism and skill with two goals, and Max M added one more to his tally for the day.

Damo, Max G and Luke picked up their games in the second half, and did the team proud. Peitok was, as always, a threat in the ruck!

Darren and Jamal made great improvements too. Sorry I didn't mention you all, boys, as you deserved a pat on the back for sticking to it until the end and believing in yourselves!

It wasn't an overly good kicking and marking game today, but some days are better than others!
