It was the first game of the season and the U12s turned up to Greenway Park a little uncertain as to how the team would perform. So it was really pleasing to see the new players linking well with their team mates and the improving skill levels of the 2015 players.

The Goannas started with a rush to led by 4 goals at half-time. The Tigers fought back well in the last two quarters as the effect of the warm weather and early season fitness levels started to tell on the Goannas. There were so many players that got their hands on the ball and tackled tirelessly.

Player of the Match was awarded to Evan Griffin who picked up where he left off last season as one of our best taggers.

A big thank you to Steve Hawkes for helping out carrying the water, and Chris Bowen for being the goal umpire.
