AWARDS: Best Player - Dylan Bragg. Most Improved Player - Andrew Salame.

The boys had a tough game today against quality competition. It was our first real challenge of the season and the boys performed well under pressure. Across the field we worked hard which was made tougher by the wet weather, but our strong work ethic was still on display.

All of our players had to defend hard today across each third of the field and we tackled strong consistently. When we got the ball forward we were able to score points despite strong smothering from the Hawks.

Unfortunately we lost 37-35 but the boys still made us as proud as can be with their hard work and strong team spirit. We will train hard again this week to work on our areas needing improvement.

Most Improved Award today was Andrew for his strong defence and work all day in scraping the ball out from the ruck. Player of the Week was Dylan (aka SpongeBob) who was everywhere today working across the field and making great breaks in the mids to clear the ball out in tough situations.
