FIXTURE: April 10 at Fairfax Reserve

The team travelled to Fairfax Reserve to take on the Camden Blues on a very warm Autumn day.

The sixteen boys dominated the first quarter which was probably a blessing as by the end of the match there were some extremely tired young men coming off the field.

We didn't have any reserves today so all the boys had to put in 110% especially in the last quarter to keep our 20 point lead. We lost Matt Skoro in the 3rd quarter with an injury to his thumb but he decided to come on and play with it strapped in the last quarter and even managed to kick a goal!! Way to go Matt!!

The team let in a few goals by not being in the correct position and not marking up - something to work on boys, otherwise a hard fought win (even though the score doesn't reflect it). There were some outstanding plays; some great team efforts which resulted in goals and some awesome defence.

Thank you to all our parent helpers - Mark Wheatley and Jack Skoro for running, Vicki Wheatley and Julian Ballard for Water Running - you guys worked overtime in the heat today, George Khoury for boundary umpiring - welcome to the team!! and our goal umpires Jason Bassett and Ron Woods.
