Today we had a very tough start to the game and were unable to break through the Kangaroos defence in the first quarter and they managed to score 16 unanswered points.

We made a comeback in the second quarter and the team lifted with positive attacking play resulting in two confidence-building goals from Jonah.

The last half of the game was fairly evenly matched and the Goannas stepped up to create many scoring chances. We nearly caught the Kangaroos, but in the end the difference came down to some wayward kicking, turning over the ball and accuracy in front of the goals.

Thanks go out to my helpers today Mark N, Peter A on water and goals, Red on timekeeping, Thong on the scoreboard, Tania and Jacqui in the canteen, and Darren on the BBQ. To the families and friends who came to support their kids today, it was great to have you all cheering them on.
